Who has ascended into heaven and descended? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has wrapped the waters in His garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His name or His son's name? Surely you know!  Every word of God is tested; He is

a shield to those who take refuge in Him. Proverbs 30:4,5

Dear Friends:

I am just hopping mad!  I heard that Rosie O’Donnell in her return to ABC’s inane news talk show, “the View,” made some pretty stupid statements about 9/11. When I checked into it and found she had said, "Radical Christianity is just as threatening as radical Islam in a country like America where we have separation of church and state,"  Ms. O’Donnell said that America was attacked "not by a nation." "And as a result of the attack and the killing of 3,000 innocent people, we invaded two countries and killed innocent people."  What?

I am angry at ABC for allowing her to say such a traitorous thing and not immediately forcing her to apologize.  I am angry that ignorant people like her are allowed to attack Christians and go unpunished.  If she had substituted the term Gay Pride  for Christianity she would be unemployed with no chance of reinstatement!

I am angry that she is so ignorant and crude as to belittle the sacrifice of all the people who died on 9/11 and the faithful members of the military who “invaded two countries” to remove terrorists and protect her freedom to be a fool!  And she is still on the Air and people are still watching her. I wrote to ABC but I am sure they will ignore my letter. The networks are committed to profits and not to the nation that gives them the right to free speech even if it is treasonous! Would you please join me in writing to ABC? (or E-mail)  They may ignore one letter but if they get thousands they may listen.

I have traveled all over the world and this is still, hands down, the greatest nation in the world.  One of the things that makes us great is the freedoms we have.  Note that I say freedom not license! These freedoms, protected by our Constitution, come from our Biblical roots.  No matter what party is in power—the power of any party is limited by the Constitution and the Constitution is based on Biblical law! America is great because, as Alex De Toqueville said, “America is good!”  We are good because we were founded by Christians.

Rosie does not like President Bush—I did not like President Clinton, in fact, I was ashamed of him, but I was never ashamed of being an American! I was never ashamed of our brave military men who were fighting around the globe, even when I did not like the current commander and chief.  That is the difference between me and Rosie.  I refuse to allow my personal abhorrence of one man or one party to drag down my country.  It is still my country, and it is still the best game in town!! This may offend some - I am sorry I offend you—but I am not sorry for my stance.  I am not ashamed of Jesus and I am not ashamed of my country!  I am sorry I do not defend my Lord and my country more.  Like it or not my American flag flew on 9/11 and is still flying!

OK—my  “patriotic rant” is over!  My next disappointment is Wal-Mart.  I defended them when the liberals were bashing them about the morning after pill.  I was so sad when they caved but I still shopped there. Now, they have decided to support the homosexual agenda so I must give up on them. (see sidebar)

It seems that wherever I look the liberal, abortion, homosexual or whatever other crazy agenda you can think of is gaining ground in our nation.  I do not believe this is because we are becoming more liberal.  I believe it is because we, Christians,  are becoming more insular.  We talk about our faith and values with our “church” friends but that is all.  We don’t declare Jesus in the marketplace.  We don’t talk to our other friends and co-workers about Him. We keep our pro-life feelings to ourselves when we are shopping, working, going to school etc. I refuse to believe that the majority of people in this nation are pro-death!  Some think they are pro-choice because they have not stopped to consider that the choice they are talking about is the murder of a child. Others think they are pro-euthanasia because they do not realize that what they call euthanasia is not easing the death of someone who will otherwise die, but killing someone who would otherwise live, to cover up the inadequacies of a doctor who cannot provide adequate palliative care.  Some think they are pro-gay or inclusive because they do not realize that the “gay lifestyle” is far from gay and leads to death, spiritual and clinical.  They do not love “gays” enough to tell  them their life expectancy is half what it should be because of their lifestyle.

Please talk about your faith to one person this month.  If we all did this and only half of the people listened that would be 6 lives influenced per person per year.  Multiply this by all the people reading this and we can make a difference!  This is not meant to be a negative newsletter!  I do apologize for my rant  –not for my opinion—only that you had to endure the rant when I am preaching to the choir. There are some very good signs.  Less women are willing to let people kill their babies. Less doctors are willing to make a practice of killing babies. People are starting to realize that we can be both environmentally and people  friendly.  Fewer people are listening to losers like Rosie O’Donnell. Many Christians have come “out of the closet” and are claiming King Jesus.  Although some are still deceived, many Americans are realizing that idolatrous religions like Islam are dangerous. Things are really looking better.  We are making a difference.  Please keep hang in there!
